Bench Coach St. Lucie Mets
2025 EBCA Coach of the Year | St. Lucie Mets | Great Britain National Team
Jonathon Cramman is a British baseball coach and former international player who has made a significant impact on the development and success of baseball in Great Britain.
In 2025, he made history by leading Great Britain's U23 National Team to its first-ever European Championship title, becoming the first British manager in 87 years to win a European gold medal. This remarkable achievement earned him the prestigious 2025 EBCA Coach of the Year Award, presented at the EBCA Convention in Antwerp.
Cramman's baseball journey began with the London Mets, where he developed as a player before progressing into coaching. He later managed the club to two British National Baseball League championships, in 2017 and 2022.
His international coaching experience includes serving as hitting coach for Great Britain at the 2023 World Baseball Classic and leading the U23 National Team at its first World Cup appearance in 2024.
In January 2026, Cramman took another major step in his career by joining the New York Mets organisation as Bench Coach of the St. Lucie Mets, their Single-A Minor League affiliate in Florida.
From British grassroots baseball to the professional ranks in the United States, Jonathon's journey reflects the growing opportunities for European coaches on the international stage.
At the 2027 EBSCA Convention in Zagreb, he will share his experience and insights from coaching at both European and professional American levels.
